Police in the Western Cape say they're at an advanced stage of their investigations into a video of the Deputy Mayor of the Bitou Municipality in Plettenberg Bay, allegedly firing a gun in public. Several videos posted on social media showed Nokuzola Kolwapi, seemingly firing a weapon to celebrate her son's homecoming ceremony following his initiation. Another video also showed her allegedly handing the weapon to her bodyguard afterwards.
