The legal battle between the Socio-Economic Rights Institute of South Africa and the City of Johannesburg is set to continue in the High Court in Johannesburg today.

The litigation is about the forced removal of unregistered informal traders from parts of the City centre.

The metro has started removing informal traders, who it says are allegedly operating illegally and in areas not designated for trading.

Here's the City of Johannesburg's , Director of Litigation Services Tlou Montja.
