To the Eastern Cape now where Mnquma Local Municipality has spent more than five million rand installing state-of-the-art CCTV cameras in and around Butterworth CBD.
The Cameras are strategically located in hotspots around town to assist in crime-fighting efforts and road traffic violations.
The municipality says the main objective is to minimize road carnage on all routes entering Butterworth during and after the festive season.
